Texas’ Galleria Hotel gets a $10 million renovation

Houston is set to get a major facelift in the form of a $50 million renovation.

The Texas Galleria will be rebranded the Galleria of Texas, which is set for completion in late 2020, with the opening of its first restaurant in the fall of 2021.

The Galleria, which sits at 804 S. Loop 610 in the Houston area, was built in the 1960s as the flagship hotel of Houston’s World Famous Galleria Hotels.

The hotel has been an icon in the city since its opening, and has attracted a diverse clientele who enjoy its amenities.

The renovation project will also add a bar and restaurant to the hotel.

The Hotel, which opened in 2012, is currently undergoing a $1.8 billion renovation and will include a new bar, restaurants and a new concourse, according to a news release. [More]
