When Walmart shuts down stores in Texas

The Next Blog » Walmart has stopped selling its products in Texas, but some of the biggest names in the tattoo industry are still in business.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that a company called Tattoo Shop has been selling some of its products on Walmart’s shelves in the state, but the Texas Department of Health and Human Services said it would be shuttering all tattoo shops in the coming days.

“Tattoo Shop is a licensed tattoo artist with more than 5,000 locations in Texas,” the department said in a statement.

Tattoos can be purchased at most tattoo shops, but TattooShop was only licensed in the Lone Star State.

The company is now a legal tattoo shop that specializes in facial and body piercing, but its only presence in Texas is in the Austin area.

We are disappointed that Tattoo Store is not able to continue in Texas as a tattoo shop.

The Texas Tattoo and Piercing Commission has issued a cease and desist letter to Tattoo shop and told them to stop selling their products and services in the State.

This is a sad day for TattooStore and we are committed to our mission to provide safe and affordable access to quality products for our customers.

I hope that Tattooshop is able to find a new home in Texas.

If you’re in the area, be sure to check out TattooSale, a similar website that sells tattoos at local businesses.
